But what NASA could do with it was amazing. Without the Gemini, NASA would had to learn lots of important things using the larger, later to develop, and more expensive Apollo spacecraft which would've slowed the program. The pretty rapid development and utilization of the spacecraft showed that the capability of NASA was nothing short of spectacular.
