I'd say it's mostly our culture. We work too hard, stress out all the time, eat like shit, roid rage at little things because we're miserable, eat like shit some more because we're miserable. Also: The safer your work environment, the more likely you'll die to some random disease. I'd bet my left testicle the amount of people who've died in work related incidents has at least halved since 1950.

You're heart never heals, that's why you've never heard of heart cancer. The cells just don't replicate.
Constant wear and tear, 24/7, every palpitation accumulating damage. Every time you go to sleep, the muscle slightly atrophying.

If I could replace my heart with a more robust one, I would in a heartbeat.

I imagine they die sooner for the same reasons. Be happy with what you have. Don't get me wrong, life is work. You need to work for food and shelter. Some clothes, a decent pair of running shoes. Anything else besides a vehicle is retarded.

You need financial security in case life screws you over. If you're not a bootlicker enough to be extroverted, nobody will be there to help you, and life is inherently unfair. Money allows to go against people's will and force them to help you. That's essentially known as "paying for a service". Living expenses can also cost a lot (though there are ways to mitigate it, of course)

For every birth there is a death eventually. So saving someone from a car crash, in terms of death cause, is just setting him up for prostate cancer or alzeihmer or whatever.

Heart diease and cancer are simply almost the hardest causes of death to get rid of because their risk grows with age. And while heart disease is losing ground cancer is probably here to stay. It's an older people disease, it's what gets you when everything else has failed, it can come from almost any part of the body and it's different for everyone and at every stage of life. It's more a category of diseases than a single disease.

Cancer deaths increase based on age and based on societal factors.

If people are getting older overall, they are more likely to die of cancer rather than something else.

If society is giving shitty food and cigarettes and bad lifestyle it also increases the odds.

Heart disease has the same risk factors but it's more common because "cardiovascular" disease is general and can be caused simply more often
