Over the summer, when
>outdoor temperature was 27C
>temperature in my room was 23C
I didn't feel cold wearing a t-shirt.
Now,
>outdoor temperature is 13C
>temperature in my room is 25C (2 points higher)
I still feel cold wearing a sweater. (The relative humidity in my room is currently 60 percent. I think it was a similar value over the summer).
Why is this? Is there more to body temperature than ambient temperature? Did organisms evolve to derive heat from wavelengths of solar radiation that fail to heat most inanimate matter?
