>>10956940So, the relevant portion of our agenda is as follows. The current dominant social paradigm insists that children are the property of their parents. Basically until their parents death. This philosophy is upheld by the older generations and factions such as the masons support it. The result is exploitation of the young and a stagnant society.
We are trying to fight to change that. Upon coming of age a child should have the right to independence from their parents. Indeed we wish to push this further and to ensure that parents are expected in all cases to sacrifice for the well-being of their children.
The reasoning behind our support of these changes is as follows; Soon, we will have much longer lifespans and it is contrary to development for tired old brains to hold so much influence for so long. Society strains already. Additionally the youth are the future and they have much more potential than the established elites who are old, tired and lacking in their ability to guide us into the future. It is time for them to step aside. It is time for the youth to take up the mantle of leadership and to guide us all into a better, more fruitful future for everybody.
Furthermore, if our genetics are not entirely ours, we could be considered "children" of another species. As the saying goes "when in rome". If parents hold total power over their children so too would any other species with a claim of parenthood over us treat us in an identical manner. Indefinitely, without any case for objection on our part. Unless our society changes.
Needless to say it really feels as though attempts have been made at stopping me.
