They're all posted by college freshman who are seeking affirmation about their choice of major, and they are so naive and separated from reality that it physically hurts to read. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and it was a fucking waste of time. The work is shit, the pay shit, and your coworkers are going to be techs without college degrees. It was a huge fucking waste and I would have been much further along in my career if I hadn't wasted time on it in the first place. It was an almost impossible feat, but I managed to switch careers to data science, and my job is much better paying and more quantitative now. I never should have fallen for /sci/'s "CS is a bubble" bullshit all those years ago.
