I start my B.S. in EE program in a few weeks, and my uni has a laptop requirement of

I have a budget of 2k but those are student loans, so I don't necessarily want to spend it all. I went with the Razer blade stealth 13 because they are on sale $1090 (originally $1599) with a dedicated GPU mx150 (that sucks for games but I can get a Razer Core later on) and an i7 and 16g ram with upgradable 256ssd m.2. what laptop did you take to your first quarter of a STEM degree? did I make a mistake buying this machine? pic related it's ordered and currently shipping.
