Chemistry isn't a science. The periodic table isn't based on anything physical. All of their "rules" have more exceptions than things that follow the rules. Chemistry is just a trial-and-error process for making new chemicals. Someone has to do it, but its not science.

That's all of physics and science. It's boring stamp-collecting bullshit. Math and philosophy are the only interesting pursuits for truly intelligent people. Why do you think every scientist who isn't firstly a natural philosopher (i.e. every scientist after the mid 1900s) is such a fucking midwit? It's not interesting stuff when you have to totally constrain your thought to experiments.

Yes, I am in High School. That's how I know chemistry isn't as glamorous as the media makes it out to be. Its mostly calculating things involving moles and titration and avocado's number. I like the notation with the little chemical diagrams but overall it just puts me to sleep. At least in math and physics you're learning things that are fundamental and universal.

that's because in low level chemistry they don't explain what the atoms are doing or why they react in certain ways, they just tell you a bunch of rules and make you memorize them. But they do this because in order to grasp what's really happening you need to know more advanced physics so they just gloss over it.

If you don't mind learning a little bit of physics I recommend studying the underlying quantum mechanics of how atoms work and then applying it to chemistry, it's really kind of fascinating

Even the quantum mechanics chemists use is bullshit though. Pretty much no chemistry curriculum covers anything harder than calculating Hamiltonian eigenstates for trivial problems. They don't talk about relativity. They don't even talk about time dependent problems. They sure as fuck don't talk about quantum field theory. Instead they only use a handful of toy problems and try to derive simple rules from them that they take and misapply to everything. Its barely a step above people claiming they have quantum healing crystals.
