>get invited to publish in journal
>spend two month writing a longer version, improve implementation, include experiments we left out for conference paper, perform additional experiments with improved version, write about improvements
>lying on editor's desk for 4 months
>waiting another 3 months for reviews
>send in minor revision, just a couple of spelling mistakes, clarifications and updated references, make figures a bit prettier etc.
>wait another 2 months while minor revision is getting reviewed
>status is now "reviews completed" for a week, but still no email
I can't take this waiting, this is my first journal publication. How long is it this supposed to take? It's almost a year now, and I have no idea if the paper will ultimately be accepted or not. The stuff in the paper is starting to get old even, we've done a lot of things since.
