>>10942757Did you get those trans flag thighhighs from sockdreams?
They look exactly the same as mine.
>>10943008Our minds shut out dreams that we cannot possibly fulfil; although you can use your imagination to think of fantastical things that would make you extremely happy, you don't find yourself longing for them.
If someone with gender dysphoria had no idea that transgenders are common and changing gender is partially medically possible, they would have a hard time recognising their own gender dysphoria and would have less grief caused by the issue than someone who wants to but can't transition or botches their transition.
As medical science advances further, expect people's body issues to become much more diverse. Sure, gender dysphoria will be "cured" in the sense that people will figure out how to do a 100% complete sex change, but then people will know that bolder things are possible, and some will start longing. Some people will dislike their human form, wanting to make a few changes here and there.
Note that we're hairless primates, and yet we find primates and hairless creatures, sometimes even ourselves ugly compared to other animals.
It's commonly believed that the first offshoot of humanity will be catgirls, with their feline ears and tails. Catgirls get rid of two physical traits we share in common with chimps: Our weird ears, and our lack of tails.
Also, our weird semi-primate feet make people uncomfortable for some reason. Feet are regarded as "gross" more than any other body part, they can be regarded as such even if in perfect condition.
Clearly, the urge to distance ourselves from primates is already strong, even if we don't know it, and I expect that this will cause many cases of full-blown species dysphoria once changing species is a possibility on the horizon. Catgirls will be the go-to species since if you give them footpaws they address all the qualms people have with the human form.
