I think that people do not realize how few doctors exist. The doctor in that video, there are only about 6,000 cardiac surgeons in the entire USA. That is 1 surgeon for every ~50,000 people. The idea of

Someone else IS NOT going to fill your place. Someone has to do this. We do not have a seemingly infinite amount of people who are capable of doing this. We are losing doctors relative to the population and this is a serious concern that I do not think this generation is realizing. This isn't going to be automated in our lifetimes. This is far too complicated for any AI and robotics to reliably perform. People think that someone else will handle it. It's just not true.
