I started going to my stats lectures instead of watching the recordings just so I could put an end to the minutes long awkward pauses where the lecturer tries to get answers from the retards in the class. I give the other students a chance but if I get bored waiting we are moving on.

I had this issue too.... but I was socially conscious enough to know not to just blurt out answers every time. After the first week and a half I noticed I was pretty much the only one answering questions so I assumed maybe it would be best if I wait through 10 to 15 seconds of silence before answering things.

I almost always get the right answer in class, but since my voice is so low teachers never hear me.
When that happens there's often one or two classmates to look at my way because they know I got the right answer, sometime they even tell the teacher I did.
