Pajeet here, have a few cousins in IITs. I would say that the papers are fairly difficult(for highschool standards) but not half as difficult as most pajeets make them out to be. The main reason why so many people can't get in is because of the lack of good teachers in india, lack of seats and the fact that half of the students cant even understand what the question is asking them. I did not attend any coaching, tuition or SCHOOL(yes i studied at home). i basically jacked off to hentai all day during the last year of my high school and yet i was able to score better than 80% of the students, which is a shit score actually.
Not to mention the institutes themselves are shit-tier
