If you have an opinion that somebody disagrees with, you get spammed with "retard," "pseud," "NPC," "brainlet," "soiboy," along with whatever meme is popular this month. These people are too stupid to provide a real counterargument and too afraid to share their own opinion out of fear of being mocked themselves. I believe this is caused by increasing population of newfags who are desperate for attention. They bring their shitty bait threads, low effort posts and twitter screenshots hoping they will get a response. Sadly, these retards outnumber the native /lit/ users, and quality posts have basically disappeared.
I would say that /sci/ is higher quality than /lit/ is now. On this board, I am still able to see people who can put together a full sentence that has meaning.
