There is absolutely nothing wrong with silly colorful "I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE" youtube videos that help explain the world to dumb and lazy people, assuming they are actually correct and proper.

Lowering the bar for education and knowledge is ultimately a net gain for the human race. Once people actually start learning they are also more likely to engage with more formal and "boring" areas of science because they got a foot inside the door. If there is no loss in making something simple and funny there is no reason not to do it.
