Everyone, including legit philosophers, consider Godel as not a philosopher. He is only in the realm of logic and mathematics, by everyone's view.
But at the same time, Everyone including legit philosophers, consider Frege as philosopher. Actually nobody says he is not a philosopher, he is literally the founder of analytic philosophy. Except he was literally the professor of mathematics for 45 years.
What is the fucking difference, though? Why? Even turing is considered as philosopher, but why not Godel? And why Frege considered as philosopher?
This thin line becomes thinner and thinner if you research more; Godel was a member of Vienna Circle, which is the first form of analytic philosophy. "They had philosophers, but they had scientists and mathematicians" you say, but this distinction is futile; Moritz Schlick was always a professor of physics. Everybody says Mach is very important philosopher, although he was scientist all the time. So... why?
