>>10933458i'd call it "bad science" rather than pseudoscience because they at least try to use currently accepted scientific theories and ideas (usually it focuses on materials science and imaging and stuff which is real science, as opposed to them theorizing how jesus's corpse supposedly converted into a gamma ray burst......) so it's not really pseudery. but they do it in bad faith, i.e. there are so many things these guys ignore and then they pick out one weird anomaly and use that to get the answer they want instead of an unbiased one. the whole shroud science is a bunch of uber-biased guys talking past one another and that's why most serious scientists don't want to make any comment on it and avoid it at all costs.
imho it is clearly a fakery, i mean, just look at it, the proportions are wrong and it wasn't floating over jesus, a shroud is something you wrap around the body. and you see his back on the reverse side of it? so it was like on both sides of him? makes no sense
