I use Linux because it's easy and does what I want it to when I tell it to. Windows tends to get in my way a lot and I don't like how certain parts of it are laid out. The inability to do something like say, pick your own filesystem, just seems frustrating at best. Same for the lack of good terminal emulation (although I guess wsl exists now) and such. Apple's stuff is too expensive so they're right out, even if the OS internals are a bit more familiar.
