Is there any possibility that the universe is "attracted" to increases in entropy? Simple experiment to test this:
1. Fire an electron at an array of detectors.
2. Choose a group of detectors such that there is a 50% chance that the electron will hit one of the detectors in that group.
3. Rig those detectors to a machine that will ignite a balloon filled with hydrogen if the detector goes off.
4. Keep firing electrons and replacing balloons as they pop.
5. If the electrons cause a balloon to pop significantly more than 50% of the time, the hypothesis is supported.
We're completely fucked if this is true though because it can be used to break all possible forms of encryption.
