pulled it out of a setup with a large diffusion pump with cryo-trap.

Anyone know the flange type? rating-UHV/HV? doesn't look like KF nor Conflat

That strongly suggests UHV. Strangely I canot see any seating for a gasket. I had expected a knife edge for a Cu gasket but it isn't there.

hmm not KF, did you try NW or ISO-K, maybe QF?

And then you decide it may be a DIN flange.
