Weapons grade ur**** is too hard to scarce of a resource.
It can't be used reliably and serves much better in a research setting. Maybe used in remote areas like Alaska or the North Pole, because that would be Kino as fuck.

Neither does nuclear. France and Germany had to temporarily shut down some of their reactors because water was too hot and its flow was too weak due to the heat waves.

Some US states are100% renewable for decades, because of hydroelectricity, in sunny locations solar-thermic can run all year round 24/7
Also you don't suddenly switch from 100% fossil to 100% renewable, it's a gradual process and it takes decades,

Kansan here. Our state is very windy, flat, and full of a lot of nuffin. Yeah, sure the electricity is cheap here, but wind is pretty ill suited to being set up in places that actually exist and arent just a vaguely definable coffee stain on the map. Point is, urban development, wooded areas and actual landmarks are contradictory with wind power.
