The time is an abstract substantive, time has developed through history in different ways: Plato thought time was a form, Aristotle thought time was instantiated in each object particulary, and that is key. There are 2 major tendencies in philosophy of time: Presentism and 4th-dimensionalism, some think that as time flows, past not longer exists and future comes into existence instantly, so it didn't exist, and don't exist. Thanks to Einstein actual scientific literature says given space and time as a united variable, relativity causes space to be a 4th dimension, os it's work alongside space. Time by this conception is a natural phenomena theorized by scientist.
