>>10926243my point is that you can *want* to do something all you want, but this may not be enough to motivate you into action. there's some research on this too, mice that lack dopamine (receptors?) will starve before they walk across their cage to get food. they will chew food that is placed in their mouth, but moving across the cage would require an unfathomable effort. dopamine (or lack thereof) keeps your physical and mental energy expenditure in check, and when that system is fucked up, things seem much harder than they are for others. your baseline may simply be a bit low.
