Literally had this happened to me with my math course. Luckily I was able to retake it since my professor was really nice and I was one of her better students. Sadly, I had my family scold me for being dumb and missing the due date.
OP, next time, place an alarm or a reminder for your exams, even if you checked the due date multiple times and were certained it was another day.
