wimmin, they only have to take calc 2 and biostats, most stemtards never take upper division genetics, cmol, biochem, physiology, ecology so there only exposure to the subject is pop-sci and gen ed required intro series courses

I don't, I love it actually and I always have. I'm a mathematician who got into the field through various collaborations with other departments. I agree that the undergrad course of study is pretty weak though, if you read papers on ecology there is a fair amount of upper/graduate level mathematics involved.

Everyone in bio takes chem and ochem, but the last part of the post is directed at non-biofags who have not taken upper division bio courses and think they understand the subject from required gen ed intro series classes on par with AP classes like freshman cell bio.
