Because genetics don't determine 100% of behavior, even gay people end up having heterosexual sex sometimes and reproducing, and much like with diseases that kill you in childhood you can have children who end up with that condition without being afflicted by it yourself given you're not cloning, you're reproducing with a sexual partner who has genetics of their own.

From a purely evolutionary standpoint, I think it’s so there are more adults to procure their family’s youth and progeny. A big part of a species’ survival is about procreation, however so is “education” in the sense that we got to make sure our children don’t accidentally kill themselves and fit within the image that maximizes survivability.

This does not attest to any sort of behaviors that gay people engage in, as that is more of a sociological and psychological undertaking.

The genes that make a man gay are probably advantageous in a woman.

Let's say there was a gene that makes the person like dick, it would probably make a woman have more babies, while making a man gay.
Or there could just be a gene that makes you more feminine, making a woman more desirable, but a man gay.
I think it's something along these lines
