Is it so hard to imagine that particles/energy packets just by existing vibrate enough to displace whatever they float into(gravity field possibly) thus creating a wave with certain energy?
So when you shoot an electron that is riding on a wave it carries certain momentum,but the deciding nudge by the waves created from the particles in the slit material will decide in which slit the electron will go through.
This is somehow preposterous but magical schemes of particle duality,and collapsing universes is alright.
