Here is a simple question for you all:

By compass definition and color coding practice:
Compass North pole is a South pole, seeking North Pole
1: North seeking pole is colored RED because South pole is RED
2: North seeking pole is colored RED because North pole is RED, and is seeking North pole.

So the compass's North pole is painted RED, is it red because it is a South Pole, or because it is pointing to the North Pole and Red was intended to be North?

Everybody has his/her own definition of the standard magnet pole coloring scheme, so there is none?
