Yeah you probably can't prove some of the hardest problems but you can still try to produce something which may be used in the future by someone brilliant. If you are doing something for fame then you'll never succeed. All of those great mathematicians before you didn't do these things for fame or for there vanity it was simply from curiosity and passion. As long as you can manifest those two things then mathematics and science in general will be rewarding and beautiful to you.
