For example what if the seven headed beast rising from the sea (or whatever) actually refers to some crystalline lifeform which evolved deep in the oceans of saturn or another even larger planet.
Or it could be another example of the wheel of time. With certain prerequisites being met and others not as the cycle repeats itself endlessly.
You could expect that the events toward the end of revelations are most difficult to interpret because they were seen two thousand years ago in an entirely different context. It would be incredibly difficult for a prophet to interpret events seen in a future we here today cannot even imagine yet.
Language at the time was incredibky limited. What is needed is a modern prophecy.
Then again like I said parts of revelations are missing and there may be a way to escape the apocalypse.

No matter what things will go more smoothly if religion can be appeased as we move into space.
