liquids move downwards to the z axis and once they hit the floor they spread into the x and y axis. If there really is a 4th axis then why don't liquids spread that way?

Liquids literally do flow toward that direction. The 4th dimention (other than time) is expansion and contraction aka scope and depth.

Well, I disagree. I subscribe to the theory of infinite hierarchical nesting of matter - because its right - and scale is the 5th dimention. Much of physics falls into place when you understand this, in fact all motion can be isolated at thr most fundamental level as either expansion or contraction.
