you will suddenly start feeling like a complete zombie, just wasting away slowly.
and dont even think of coming off, since the withdrawals are fucking brutal (although not deadly), so you pop another pill just to avoid them, similar to procrastinating, I will just get off them tomorrow, no next monday, no next month.... AND BOOM, you wake up in the hospital, if you are even lucky enough to still have people left around you, and you need to learn to walk again, learn to talk again etc.
this is not to say it can't be used in controlled settings / responsible. Just look at some of the veteranas from nam that quit heroin cold turkey once they got back to the states
