It is said we are obese because we are overeating. That is a lie. The mechanisms that detect lack of nutrients critically depend on free cobalt. When a cobalt ion is not available, the place is likely taken by zinc, which also works, but the levels are off. So the body producess less red blood cells and stores more fat, because the natural "thermostats" get set wrong, so it thinks it has enough oxygen when it doesn't, and too much fat when it doesn't.
