also, limited knowledge here, but I wanted to try and give you a Biblical answer. Life, at least in this world, is in the blood. So on one hand, absolutely, life is something material. On the other hand, at the start God breathed into Adam's nostrils and he became a living soul, so there's absolutely something... else, to life. In addition, there's another whole level to life after this one, which from personal experience I can vouch for actually existing while being completely honest. I asked for a dream of Heaven for a birthday gift a while back, and that night I had this full color dream where I was in a sort of barn. The key points are that it was absolutely beautiful and I never wanted to leave, pets are there, and that like in the NT where Jesus enters a room and doesn't open a door, I went through the wall of a barn. This dream also had a guiding voice in it, which warned me that I was going to go through the wall. I've never had a full color dream before or since, and I've never had a dream with a guiding voice in it other than that one.
Basically I want you to be able to find the answers you're looking for, and I think they're in the Bible, and I also want you to know that the Bible is accurate. If you check out the prophecy in Daniel 2, it predicted the world empires all in order up until now, for instance.
I've learned a lot from it but wouldn't believe most of the non-philosophical parts if not for personal experience and fulfilled prophecies. Hopefully this isn't too wordy, I don't mean to proselytize, I honestly think it's the best place to resolve the existential crises that come to us in life so I wanted to share that.
