>>10908123lt is real. It's weird to see people switching personalities. There is a physical jolt, sometimes smaller sometimes bigger. I have met a few and it's really bizarre what the human brain is capable of. I've read that in some cases people's certain alters can be blind or have certain allergies but not when in other alters.
I think that the reason it is not a "legitimate" diagnosis is because of the legal implications of responsibility and many actual bad actors can just say "I have MPD. I think Shelly (alter) did it, I can't remember" and it cannot be rigorously proven or disproven.
