If you live there, there is a slight risk that the volcano may kill you. But most likely, there will be no eruption in or lifetime, and even if there is there will almost certainly be warnings (which many people will ignore, admittedly) and even if you are sitting in your living room when it blows, odds are that the Zone of Death does not include you. Heck, Pompeii was famously destroyed by the volcano, but there were refugees even from there.
