life is a biological chemically based computer system that is exploring ALL of the possible permutations of a simple basic algorithm.
>grow
>adapt yourself to the environment
>reproduce
It starts simple but grows exponentially in complexity as the environment is constantly changing and certain permutations interact with other ones, for better or worse, and now in the case of humans instead of adapting to an ever changing environment we have learned how to manipulate the changing environment and adapt it to us. Our greatest asset may be our undoing. (global warming) However, evolutionary speaking, a species that adapts it's environment to it's needs is a relatively new thing so there are bound to be mistakes made as lessons are learned. Yes, humans are a mistake, evolutionary speaking that is. Our purpose in existence is to serve as a warning to the next species that inherits the earth. Don't fuck it up like we did.
