Is it possible that there's a new generation of drugs that are closer to what sci fi imagined miracle pills would be?
Like in the novel brave new world were they have that soma which makes you happy and causes no ill effect.


Like, take old drugs, benzodiasepine, sure its effective but also ultra harmful and addictive.
I refused to take it because of the amount of times the doctor warned me it was addictive.

Compare it with Lunesta. Its a post-2000 drug, thats like super new for a drug. ITs great, works like a charm, makes you feel good does not stop working in time and is literally 0 addictive.

Like, i was taking one every fucking day to sleep for like, a year. When i needed to stop i just stopped. Like, i went for 4 months without it, no problem. first night without it i slept perfectly it just took me more time to falla sleep which is why i take the pill, i had no craves, no ill effects no nothing, i came back to take it because i like how it feels but i knwo that if its a problem i can stop at any time, i literally did.


So what is this, is pharma close to creating the miracle pill? imagine that a drug that gets you super high with no ill effect. are we far?
