A while back I watched a Flock of Dodos in anthropology class and it got me thinking. Are scientists the reason people cling to retarded theories like intelligent design and flat earth? I also saw a flat earth documentary which said the same thing, that people were driven to believing in it out of a disdain for scientists who think their better than everyone. Are people with graduate degrees in STEM too arrogant to relate to the common man?
