I was planning to smoke weed with some friends from college. And he showed me a Gerber jar full of his stash, and I quickly realized there was a strong menthol smell. I asked him about it and he told me he used that jar to prepare a "naturalistic" mix consistent of alcohol, weed and a product called Rocainol (Menthol and Methyl Salicylate).

I read about the toxicity of Methyl Salicylate in wikipedia but I'm not very good with chemistry so I'm not sure it's dangerous. My friend told me it was safe because the smell left was from the menthol only, but I don't trust him.
