Trying to do FEM analysis for a very large, very complex structure (thousands of parts). For example one component is a 1 km long section composed of multiple trusses (pic related). Obviously I don't work at NASA so my computer can't handle the computational stress of calculating mechanical stress.

How do I simplify things so that I can analyze the entire structure and not just the separate parts?
