Electricity question (Why am i not dead.)

First of all, i accept all claims that im a retard, do them if you must but they are redundant.

I was messing around with one of these universal adapters that have a set of pins for each norm, and i found out that this thing makes it VERY easy to touch one set of pins while the other is connected.

I, as the retard that i am, tried to adjust the position of two metal pins while the other set was connected, and shit, electricty went to my fingers, the moment it started i said "oh shit this is how i die" there's 220v in my country i heard its somehow more dangerous.

Anyway, i just got a jolt barely bigger than licking a car battery. I jumped back as fast as i could and nothing happened. NOTHING the lights didnt even flicker

Why am i not dead, could some electricity scientist explain to me what happened? i was under the impression that when working with electricity it was rare to have minor injuries, like, that either you feel nothing or you die.
