>>10889442>>10891687have fun, those are great classes here. we may pass one another walking about this semester! some tips: get your sandwiches toasted at stuffed inn, they're fucking delicious. also, really do your best to get into 12A because 3A will be fine but full of braindead premeds. it's much much easier than it seems to get into classes off the waitlist / when enrollment is full here. you can even talk to the prof and say that you're just there for a semester and that their class is really exciting to you, and they may be able to help. and thirdly, take the hill line shuttle up the hill to the Lawrence Hall of Science or to the MSRI one time. the view is just stunning on a clear day.
>>10889458don't come in with the mentality of "sjw bullshit", i'd recommend. come in expecting to see all kinds of strange and interesting beliefs and just keep a somewhat open mind. i really think the vast amount of different perspectives people bring to this campus and city is captivating, if you can get past your own preconceptions. just take it easy, stop thinking about things like sjws.
and like 90% of the students here are somewhat left leaning, definitely in actual sciences. again, we're like that here for a reason, just take it in and enjoy the new surroundings. you're not in danger.
