I refuse to work for peanuts. Science shouldn't be something you almost do for free. It's not that fun.

All I see around me are big engineering companies telling ten thousand people to apply for their graduate program and then taking less than fifty of them. Meanwhile academia is about working hard for peanuts just because you love science. All these people studied something that wasn't as fun as economics, business or linguistics, in exchange for doing something that wasn't fun they get peanuts meanwhile people who do the fun shit get all the money.
This is insane. I don't want to be a drone or some pawn. I'm a human being.
There must be a way to phase through this barrier of despair that everyone is being surrounded by. There's something we are missing. Something that certain people can see but we can't.
