Sapient aliens will definitely reproduce sexually, or exchange biological information in some other way. The evolutionary advantage is immense: With mutation alone, offspring is almost certain to be inferior, with a tiny chance of being superior. With sex, offspring has a 50% chance to be superior, since it may inherit a larger percentage of positive than negative traits from the parents.
If evolution somehow stayed purely individualistic for life on a planet despite the massive advantages of sex, then that planet would not yield sapient life within the lifetime of its star (unless the star is a red dwarf). It took 3.8 billion years for Earth, without sex and other types of DNA exchange it would take tens of billions of years.
Aliens will likely have DNA, though not necessarily composed of the same nucleotides.
Nucleotides arise very easily, and merely having RNA strands that can copy themselves is enough to begin the evolution of life. The only thing not understood about the origin of life is how a bunch of nucleotides can become self-copying RNA strands.

Basically what I'm saying is that aliens are very likely to be good sex partners, and having kids with them is scientifically plausible with the help of a highly intelligent genetics AI that can find a good way to mix human and xeno DNA.
