>>10881156That isn't the issue. By the time that a species such as ourselves became capable of monitoring sapient creatures on other planets (or whatever the fuck you think they're doing), they probably wouldn't have any desire or necessity to do so.
At the very least, it would not be the classic case of some alien piloting a craft. If anything, the alien would BE the craft; some kind of digitized consciousness "inhabiting" a space-worthy body. No reason to worry about life-support systems when you can engineer yourself to survive in space unaided.
Regardless, I would be much more likely to believe that various governments are working on and testing super-secret projects. Hell, I'd even be more likely to believe that these objects are members of some unknown terrestrial lifeform that we have yet to be able to catalogue due to the nature of their abilities.
It's either instrument failure or secret projects, though. It's really that simple.
