Theoretically, get an ant hive large enough, and it'll rival the complexity of a singular individual human brain. Neurons fire much faster than ants communicate, so the hive mind will always think slower with higher latency than the human mind, but in theory it could rival it in complexity and size. Also, humans minds are rarely singular and individual. We network with each other and form a kind of hive mind of our own.
