Is it possible that we are a biological time capsule intentionally planted on Earth by an alien civilization much more advance, as a "checkpoint" for life in case the biology on their planet dies? And from us can come forth much more advanced beings, such as artificially intelligent robots? What if we actually were created by robots created by an alien biological species to create heuristically designed and biologically diverse "backups" of life back on their planet?
