Can advertising sneak under the radar to affect our future purchasing behaviour?
Traditional thinking states that we need to pay a sufficiently high level of attention to advertisements for them to plant or reinforce brand associations.
But with our more advanced understanding of implicit awareness, processing, and memory, it seems possible that advertising can affect our attitudes even in low-attention conditions.
Any cognitive science people wanna weigh in on this?
