On the Equinox the length of day and night are equal because the sun is directly over the Equator, but they differ in that the top of the earth is either rotating behind the orbital path around the sun (Spring) or is rotating ahead of the orbital path (Autumn). Does this sideways tilt - ahead or behind the orbital path - have an affect on anything? (For example, does it cause a tide toward the other pole?).
