Scientifically speaking, what's the most effective and painless method that a layman may kill themselves?

Its supposed to be like falling asleep. Your blood isn't getting any oxygen but it cant tell the difference between oxygen and nitrogen.

Higher success rate than drugs. Heroin overdose might sound more appealing, but there's ways a chance that some fucker will load you up on narcan and get you to hospital, which will leave you a vegetable. BUT if you Kurt Cobain yourself in the bathtub, you're pretty much guaranteed to die.

Personally, I'd recommend getting super high and going for a drive on a rural highway. If you somehow survive, take it as a sign to not Kys.

It's more difficult to hold/aim shotgun to head than chest. Head is smaller and people dont want to poke their eye (dunno why none of it matters soon so...), so either insert in mouth or forehead i think.

It’s a bit weird, because a shotgun blast will destroy your brain and kill you in every measurable way in less than one second, likely before you even feel it. Your brain will literally explode and parts of it will fly out of the back of your skull. Maybe it’s the time for the heart to stop?
